Khalbali Makes Its Mark at Rendezvous, IIT Delhi

The stage at Rendezvous, IIT Delhi’s flagship cultural festival, belongs to those who dare to be heard, and this year, students of the Manav Rachna School of Education & Humanities made sure they were. Their act as part of Khalbali won recognition at the festival and earned the School a proud place among the participating institutions.

Representing Manav Rachna University, the team was co-led onto the stage by Tanishq Raj Vashistha, the Vice President of Khalbali (official dramatic society of MRU) and fellow students of the School. Months of rehearsal, shared ideas, and creative risk-taking came together in a performance that held its own among some of the best talent in the region.

Accompanying the students was Dr Savita Sharma, Professor at the School of Education & Humanities. Her mentorship and presence through the festival gave the team the confidence to perform at their best, and showed the School’s belief that learning extends beyond classrooms into experiences like these.

At SOEH, we believe future educators grow not only through academics but also through expression, collaboration and courage. Khalbali at Rendezvous is a reminder of what happens when creativity meets conviction.

Congratulations to the entire Kalbali team on this well-deserved honour. Winning Best Direction at Rendezvous, IIT Delhi, is a testament to the passion, discipline and teamwork that shaped the production from the first rewrite to the final bow. May this victory be the first of many, and may the curtain keep rising on stories worth telling.
