The School of Education and Humanities at Manav Rachna University marks an important step forward with the formalisation of an academic collaboration between Manav Rachna University and Durham University, UK.
From a departmental lens, this partnership strengthens our work in teacher education, educational research, humanities scholarship, and interdisciplinary inquiry. It opens up concrete possibilities for collaborative research, faculty engagement, research internships, and global learning experiences that will directly inform classroom practices, curriculum thinking, and scholarly work within the School.
The collaboration encourages dialogue around how education and the humanities must respond to emerging realities such as Artificial Intelligence, changing learner needs, and global pedagogical shifts. Through academic exchange and joint initiatives, faculty and students will gain exposure to diverse perspectives, research cultures, and innovative approaches to learning.
Facilitated through the Centre for Advanced Learning (CAL), this association supports the School’s focus on reflective practice, research-informed teaching, and preparing educators and scholars who can think critically and act responsibly in complex educational contexts.
The presence of academic leaders from both institutions at the signing reflected a shared intent to move beyond symbolic partnerships and work meaningfully together.
The School of Education and Humanities looks forward to translating this collaboration into sustained academic engagement, shared knowledge creation, and enriching learning experiences for its academic community.
